Sorting and deleting
Does swiping left delete the photo?
No. The photo goes to Oust's trash, where you can take it back out, and the Undo button takes back your last choice. Nothing is deleted until you confirm from that trash.
How do I get the space back?
Confirm the deletion from Oust's trash. The photos move to Recently Deleted on iPhone, or to your phone's trash on Android. The space comes back once that folder is emptied.
I deleted a photo by mistake
You can still recover it from your gallery, usually for 30 days. On Android 10 and earlier there is no trash: Oust asks you to confirm, then the deletion is permanent.
How do I start over?
Settings → Data → Reset Swipe History. Your sorting decisions are erased; no photo is deleted.
Free and Premium
How does the free version work?
Your first 500 photos are free. After that, your free photos are topped back up to 250 every day: they don't add up from one day to the next. Each video you watch to the end adds 250 more.
Is Premium a subscription?
No: one payment for unlimited sorting and no ads, for good. After reinstalling or on a new phone, use Settings → Restore Purchase.
Privacy
Are my photos sent anywhere?
No. Sorting happens on your phone: no photo is uploaded to a server and no account is needed.
How do I change my ad choices?
Settings → Legal → Ad privacy options (this row only appears in regions where the choice exists). With Premium, no ads and no advertising data.
